Your brain is always looking for evidence to confirm what you have told it. You’re subconsciously always looking for evidence to support what you already believe. This impacts on how you gather, interpret and remember information.

For example, if you believe that you are a failure, your brain is going to seek & find everything in your life that reinforces that statement. Your brain will stay on high alert for any signs that you are not good enough on any specific aspect of your life. Work, school and even friendships.

Your current beliefs are shaping your current reality. Start thinking positive! Your brain craves positive thinking!

Your current beliefs are shaping your current reality and in order to change your reality, you need to identify and change any unhelpful or disempowering beliefs you’re holding onto about yourself and your life. Be intentional about your thoughts and the reality you’re creating.

“It’s better to be an optimist who is sometimes wrong than a pessimist who is always right.” — Unknown

“Always stop yourself on negative self talk and reframe it.” — Andrew Lloyd Beaver PA

“Having a positive mental attitude is asking how something can be done rather than saying it can’t be done.” — Bo Bennett

A Few Tips On How to Manage, Interpret and Reframe Your Thinking:

1. When you’re in what seems like a negative situation, find what’s good.
2. Reminder: people don’t care how long it takes for you to succeed.
3. Question all negative thoughts.
4. Replace any negativity in your surroundings.
5. Express your feelings and talk it over!
6. Compliment yourself when you do good!
7. Smiling. Even in my most negative states of mind, smiling immediately changes the way I feel.
